The true crime documentary series Sins of Our Mother debuted on Netflix on Wednesday, September 14. The terrifying tale details Lori Vallow Daybell’s life and actions; she is known in the press as the “doomsday mom.”
After being charged with ki!!ing her children, Joshua “JJ” Vallow, 7, and Tylee Ryan, 16, Lori gained infamy. But how did they pass away? Where is Lori right now? What is known is listed below.

Those close to JJ and Tylee worried that Lori’s fascination with the apocalypse had taken a hazardous turn because she maintained the conviction that her two youngest children were zombies not long before JJ and Tylee went missing.

Tylee was last spotted in late September 2019 traveling to Yellowstone National Park with Alex Cox, Lori’s brother. On the other hand, JJ was last seen by witnesses in his elementary school, just before his mother pulled him out of every class in favor of homeschooling.
Following their disappearance, friends and acquaintances alike urged authorities to check on the children’s wellbeing. However, it wasn’t until June of the following year that their remains were discovered.
JJ was allegedly visiting a family friend in Arizona, according to Lori. On Chad Daybell’s property in Salem, Idaho, it was later discovered that her son and daughter had both been brutally m*rdered and buried.
While Tylee’s body was burned, dissected, and dumped in a pet graveyard on the property, JJ was discovered dead inside a plastic bag that had been duct tied.
Only Chad and Lori currently have access to the full scope of the ongoing investigation’s findings on JJ and Tylee’s fate. Police, however, discovered a series of cryptic communications that turned out to be quite instructive.
Per the affidavit, Chad texted, “Well, I’ve had an interesting morning! I felt I should burn all of the limb debris by the fire pit before it got too soaked by the coming storms.”
The message continued, “While I did so, I spotted a big raccoon along the fence. I hurried and got my gun, and he was still walking along. I got close enough that one shot did the trick. He is now in our pet cemetery. Fun times!”
Since the investigation was started, Lori has been accused of both first-degree m*rder and conspiracy. Where is Lori now, though? Here is an update for 2022.
