If you’re having trouble waiting for Star Wars Jedi Lucasfilm has revealed that a new novel named Star Wars Jedi: Battle Scars will release on March 7, 2023, and will depict a story that takes place between the first game and the next sequel. Here you will read about Star Wars Jedi: Survivor release date, and other details.
StarWars.com explains that Sam Maggs, under the imprint of Del Rey, will pen Star Wars Jedi: Battle Scars, which “finds Order 66 survivor Cal Kestis going to lead the Mantis crew on a campaign set between both the critically acclaimed Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and the highly anticipated Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.”
Maggs has worked on several video games, including Anthem, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Call of Duty: Vanguard, and Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, so she is no stranger to the gaming industry. She also participated in the appearance on hold for the foreseeable future remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic but left after about nine months.
On May 2, 2023, Dark Horse will release The Art of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor if that isn’t enough for you. This “chronicle” will “gather concept drawings and creator commentary in an enormous, full-color hardcover,” giving readers an insider’s view of how the game came to be.
The sequel to Star Wars Jedi has not been given a specific release date, with developer Respawn simply promising it for “sometime in 2023.” Even though these dates suggest the game will be out in March or May, anything can happen in the meantime during game development.
At Star Wars Celebration 2022, it was revealed that Cal Kestis would be fighting the Empire alone, his lightsaber seemingly having fallen into Imperial hands. This news marked the official announcement of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. In addition, it was disclosed that Survivor occurs five years after the events of Fallen Order.
