Following its launch in October 2020, the supernatural dark fantasy anime series Jujutsu Kaisen quickly gained popularity across the globe. The program centers on Japanese high school student Yuji Itadori (Junya Enoki), who accidentally accepts the role of host for Ryomen Sukuna’s (Junichi Suwabe) most potent Curse, plunging him into the dangerous, action-packed, and exhilarating realm of Jujutsu Sorcerers.
Yuji makes an effort to gather and consume all of Sukuna’s fingers (yuck) to finally defeat the “King of Curses,” even at the expense of his own life, with the help of his new sorcerer friends Megumi Fushiguro (Yuma Uchida) and Nobara Kugisaki (Asami Seto), as well as their teacher, the mighty Satoru Gojo (Yichi Nakamura).
Fans are eager to learn when the highly anticipated second season of the show will launch as it has been more than a year since the show’s first season ended airing and six months since the global premiere of its feature film Jujutsu Kaisen 0. Here is all the information we have about Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2.
Is Jujutsu Kaisen Getting A Season 2?
Yes! The second season of Jujutsu Kaisen was formally ordered on February 12, 2022, according to a statement from the show’s animation studio, MAPPA.
When Does Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Begin?
While the precise release date is still unknown, Crunchyroll has declared that Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will start streaming on their platform in 2023.
Although it has not yet been specified if this implies the show will air during their Winter (beginning January 2023), Spring (starting April 2023), or Fall (starting October 2023) seasons, the mere fact that additional Jujutsu Kaisen may be available in less than a year is very intriguing.

Is Jujutsu Kaisen Available To Watch On Netflix Or Hulu?
Unfortunately, neither platform in North America currently offers streaming access to Jujutsu Kaisen. However, HBO Max, Crunchyroll, and Funimation all have Season 1 episodes available for streaming. Jujutsu Kaisen is also available to stream for free with advertisements on Crunchyroll.
However, an ad-free monthly membership to HBO Max costs $14.99, and premium Crunchyroll and Funimation subscriptions also cost $7.99.
The show’s second season will likely be available to stream on all three platforms, with HBO Max perhaps releasing the episodes quickly. At the same time, Crunchyroll and Funimation are most likely to do so weekly as they air globally (as they did with Jujutsu Kaisen: Season 1).
What Could Happen in Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen?
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will likely focus on the high school years of blue-eyed sorcerer extraordinaire Gojo, according to the manga, particularly the transformative mission that caused his best friend, Suguru Geto (Takahiro Sakurai), to reject Jujutsu society and that also brought about a close encounter with Megumi’s estranged father, Toji Fushiguro.
The jaw-dropping Shibuya Incident Arc, which captivated readers worldwide with its unforgettable action and effects, also appears to be covered in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2.
