Next year’s Super Bowl halftime show will be led by pop singer Rihanna, her record label, the NFL, and new halftime show sponsor Apple Music said on Sunday.
The NFL and Rihanna’s record label, Roc Nation, started by the rapper Jay-Z, both posted a picture on Twitter of what looks like Rihanna’s tattooed arm holding up an NFL football with the words “Let’s GO.” Rihanna put up the same picture on her Instagram.
The NFL said last week that Apple Music would replace Pepsi as the sponsor of the halftime show. Apple Music also confirmed the news on Twitter. The tweet said, “IT’S ON. @rihanna will perform at the first-ever Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show on 2.12.23.”

The 57th Super Bowl will be held on February 12 at Glendale, Arizona’s State Farm Stadium. Most of the time, people look forward to watching the game and the halftime show. The Los Angeles Rams beat the Cincinnati Bengals 23–20 this year. The NFL says that more than 208 million people watched the game.
The NFL says that more than 120 million people watched that halftime show, a mix of performances by Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, and a surprise appearance by 50 Cent. Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé, and Lady Gaga also performed at the Super Bowl.
Rihanna had the chance to be the main act at the 2019 halftime show, but she told Vogue later that year that she turned it down to support Colin Kaepernick. Kaepernick is the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback who took a knee during the national anthem before NFL games to protest police brutality against Black people and other forms of racial injustice.
