NYC: Former Actor Arrested On Charges Of Vandalizing George Floyd’s Statue

On the morning of Oct 03, 2021, Micah Beals allegedly was skateboarding by the statue of the Late George Floyd, and on crossing it he is said to have thrown Grey paint on the face and its base.

NYPD’s Hate Crimes Division through its tweet notified that Micah Beals, 37, has been charged with second-degree criminal mischief. They had also posted the video footage of the incident.

Beals seems to be a repeat offender, as his previous notoriety was seen during the Capitol Riots’ curfew violation where he was also arrested.

He is better known by his stage name- Micah Femia, has appeared in one episode of Parks and Recreation, and an episode of CSI: NY apart from a number of Short Films and a feature film.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul called it an act of cowardice and said that the hate is reprehensible through her tweet.
