MrBeast is an American YouTube star, philanthropist, and entrepreneur. MrBeast makes a minimum of $3 million per month from YouTube ads alone. That does not include in-video brand deals.
Also known as Jimmy Donaldson, MrBeast is known for his YouTube stunts that give large sums of money to friends or charity. He is considered the pioneer of philanthropic YouTube stunt videos. He is also one of the highest-paid YouTubers on the planet. In 2020 he earned $24 million from his YouTube channel, merchandise sales, and sponsorships with brands like Microsoft and Electronic Arts.
MrBeast Early Life and Career Beginnings
Jimmy Donaldson was born in Greenville, North Carolina, on May 7, 1998. He went to Greenville Christian Academy and graduated in 2016.
When he was 12, he started putting videos on YouTube under the name “MrBeast6000.” He went to college for a short time but then dropped out to work full-time on YouTube. He mostly talked about video games in his first videos, showed people’s reactions, and put together funny clips.
MrBeast Success
Jimmy first got much attention when the video “Counting to 100,000” came out in 2017. In the video, he counted to 100,000 for 44 hours. In the end, more than 21 million people watched the video. He then made a video in which he counted up to 200,000. Other popular things to do are to read the dictionary, read the script for “Bee Movie,” Uber across the United States, say “Logan Paul” 100,000 times, and watch the terrible Jake Paul music video “It’s Every Day Bro” on repeat for 10 hours straight.

He works with PewDiePie and bought radio and billboard ads to help him get more subscribers than T-Series. At the 2019 Shorty Awards, he was up for Vlogger of the Year. He got an award for being a Breakout Creator. He was up for the Favorite Male Social Star award at the 2020 Kids’ Choice Awards. He was named YouTuber of the Year for 2020. He was called the 2020 Creator of the Year at the Streamy Awards.
In July 2020, MrBeast added more than 400,000 new subscribers and had more than 80 million video views in just one week. Because of this, he was the 20th most popular person on YouTube at the time.
Give Money To Charity
Jimmy hit the jackpot when he started doing “stunt philanthropy” in 2018. In a popular video from this time, MrBeast gave $1,000 to people he didn’t know. Soon, millions of fans signed up for his channels, which led to him giving away tens of thousands of dollars and even a million dollars.
In December 2019, he posted a video in which he challenged people to keep their hand on a stack of $1 million in cash. The money went to the last person to take their hand from the pile.

But it’s safe to say that the average video CPM is $5. Net for MrBeast, that’s $5 per thousand views. At 283 million views, this means a net income of $1.4 million.
Sponsorships
It has been said before that MrBeast charges $1 million per month to be the main sponsor of his main video page. In March, for example, that sponsor was Experian, a credit bureau. I think it’s safe to say that Beast is making at least $1 million more through sponsorships on his other channels, for a total of $2 million.
MrBeast’s Personal Life
Jimmy has Crohn’s disease, an inflammatory condition of the intestines. In the ninth grade, he was told that he had the disease. Over the years, he has talked about the long battle he fought against the condition that made him weak. Before he was diagnosed, he was sick almost every day. At one point, he lost 30 pounds throughout the summer because the pain was so bad. MrBeast takes medicine and eats in a pretty strict way.
MrBeast’s Girlfriend
Jimmy started dating Maddy Spidell in June 2019. They connected on Twitter. In a video called “Surprising My Girlfriend With 100,000 Roses for Valentine’s Day” in February 2020, MrBeast first said that Maddy was his girlfriend. As of this writing, more than 50 million people have watched that video. Maddy has since been in several more MrBeast videos, such as “I Adopted Every Dog in a Dog Shelter” and “I Spent 50 Hours in Solitary Confinement.”
