Metroid Prime 4 Trilogy For Switch ‘Is Completed And Nintendo Is Keeping It’

According to Grubb, one probable cause why the Metroid Prime trilogy has not yet received a switch-port release is the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Nintendo’s quality assurance process, as the company could not focus on many games at once.

Grubb added that one of the reasons for the delay was that Nintendo had to conduct quality tests during the pandemic to focus on just one or two big games at a time.

Whatever the reason, Giant Bomb, a precise leaker who regularly reports on the video game industry – believes that Nintendo chose not to launch the trilogy on the Switch because he believes that the company wants to release it with the arrival of Metroid Prime 4.

Nintendo Restarted Development Of Metroid Prime 4

Grubb suspects that Metroid Prime has been accompanied as a marketing tactic by the arrival of Metroid Prime 4. Still, it is unclear when the game will be released since Nintendo abandoned its advances and restarted development in 2019.

The Metroid Prime Trilogy remaster for the Nintendo Switch is finished and awaiting release, it said. If recent reports are to be believed, the company has another Metroid version ready.

In keeping with the rumor’s final nature of the Metroid Prime trilogy, Grubb commented that it’s challenging to know what fans will see in future Switch ports of the games until Nintendo announces its plans for the game’s release.

VentureBeat journalist Jeff Grubb appeared on his Giant Bomb show and said that Metroid Prime Trilogy HD is available for the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo has decided to release it.

Grubb claimed in a recent episode of his show (which Grubbsnax discovered and transcribed for VGC) that the development of a switch-remaster of the Metroid Prime trilogy is complete. Nintendo is holding them back and unwilling to send them out into the world.

We remain in the dark about the status of the games, as Nintendo has decided to participate in the Switch trilogy until the time is right to release them on the console.

Metroid Dread’s Return

Metroid fans were treated to Metroid Dread’s return to the Sidescrolling series earlier this year, and there will be no shortage of Metroid adventures either.

Metroid Dread, the first 2D Mainline installment in 20 years, will be released in October for the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo has announced that Metroid Dread- the first part of the Metroid Prime trilogy to be released on the Switch – will be the first 2D version of the series in over 20 years and be released exclusively for the Switch in October.

Metroid Dread Release Date

Despite the shocking lack of Metroid games on Switch, a new one is on the way. Coinciding with the 35th anniversary of the Metroid series, Nintendo is releasing Metroid Dread this October.

The news comes just weeks after Nintendo announced a brand new 2D Metroid game at E3: Metroid Dread will premiere on October 8, 2021, and will be the first brand new 2D Metroids game in 19 years.

However, Nintendo has not yet announced a release date for the Metroid Prime 4 window, announced at E3 2017. In the meantime, Nintendo is focusing on the Metroid series in another capacity.

Well-known Nintendo insiders have released new updates regarding the long-awaited Metroid games for Switch.

Respected VentureBeat journalist Jeff Grubb said over the weekend at the Giant Bomb Show that Nintendo had delayed the announcement because of a lack of QA resources in the pandemic that prevented the company from releasing Metroid Prime 4.

This claim is in line with a claim made by a leading industry journalist in 2019, which VGC also shares. The reason for the delay appears to be Nintendo’s wait for the announcement and uncertainty of the game’s release.

Development Of Metroid Prime 4 Trilogy

The development of the long-awaited Metroid Prime Trilogy Remaster for the Nintendo Switch has been completed for some time. Still, Nintendo holds it from being released for at least another year, as several game journalists know.

A later announcement after January 2019 said the release of the games would be delayed.

Metroid fans never thought that day would come, but they waited for not one but two new Metroid games. Now a voice from the gaming industry has spoken out to reassure fans that they won’t have to wait in vain. Let’s start from scratch. Prime 4s planned release would postpone some things.

Grubb went into what he knows and explained that the release of the games depends on a few different factors, and none of them has anything to do with a lack of trust in Metroid.

“Jeff says that Nintendo had problems with QA during the pandemic, so they focused their resources on a or two big games at a time, while other games that are finished sit for a while on the sidelines. So they want to wait until they find a favorable release date.

Nintendo has been known in the past to hold back games, as was the case with Pikmin 3 Deluxe, Grubb reports. Given the current lockouts in Japan and around the world, the process of quality assurance (QA) for Nintendo games has slowed down.

Metroid Prime 3 game

The comments concern the complexity of translating the Wii motion control from the third Metroid Prime game to the default setting of Nintendo Switches. According to the former studio designer who worked on the Metroid Prime trilogy, this project required an arduous task.

Metroid Dread, a game in the making for more than a decade, is a 2D platformer that introduced new elements of history and channeled the energy of prime games thanks to EMMI, as well as some scary new enemies.
