Having a Jorden birth New York native Kyle Lanier Thorpe was raised as a Christian. As a kid, he devoted a significant portion of his time to the four weekly church services at Soul Saving Station. His parents forbade him from listening to rap until he was far into his teens.

Fontaine dropped his first mixtape, titled “Not Supposed to Be Here,” in August of 2015. He collaborated with Cardi B, the rapper, in 2017 and 2018. Fontaine contributed to the creation of several tracks on Ye, Kanye West’s eighth studio album, including the single “Violent Crimes.

” His latest single, “Say What I Want,” came out in August of 2018. His song “Backin‘ It Up,” which featured Cardi B, was released in September 2018 and peaked at number 40 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
