Friendships can lead to romantic relationships, and vice versa. While the news of Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker dating may come as a shock to some, the two have been friends for years.
In January 2021, confirmed that Barker and Kardashian were dating after Barker spent time with Kardashian at her mother Kris Jenner’s Palm Springs, California, home. According to the insider, “Travis and Kourtney are officially a couple. Friends for years, they’ve been dating for a few months now. In love with Kourtney for a long time, Travis.”
The drummer of Blink-182 left a series of flirty comments on the Instagram posts of the founder of Poosh just before the news of their relationship broke. Barker used a rose emoji in his response to her steamy selfie from her closet.

In the photo of her walking into the ocean, she was accompanied by a mermaid emoji. Afterward, he wrote, “You’re So Cool,” when she shared True Romance movie screenshots with him. (The rocker has previously stated that True Romance is his favorite movie, and he even named his daughter Alabama after Patricia Arquette’s character, Alabama.)
There is a long history between Kardashian and Barker. There have been multiple times in 2018 when the couple was seen out and about together in their Calabasas, California gated neighborhood, including a meal and a church service. Keeping Up With the Kardashians has featured the musician and his ex-wife, Shanna Moakler, on numerous occasions.
They’d meet up from time to time because they both live in Calabasas. It was “flirtatious” but “nothing ever happened,” he said of their outings together, adding that he “had a crush on her.”
Mason, Penelope, and Reign were born to her ex-husband Scott Disick, the previous owner of Dash. After nine years of turbulent on-and-off dating, the two formed a friendship. After dating Sofia Richie for nearly three years, Kourtney dated Younes Bendjima and Luka Sabbat before settling down with Amelia Gray Hamlin in late 2020.
