The proud father of seven kids is Kevin Costner. The Yellowstone actor is the father of son Liam, 26, and ex-partner Bridget Rooney’s daughter Annie, 39, Lily, 36, and Joe, 35, all adults.
They welcomed three children: Cayden Wyatt, 15, Hayes Logan, 14, and Grace Avery, 13. The Oscar winner wed his wife, designer Christine Baumgartner, in September 2004.
After 18 years of marriage to the Dances with Wolves actress, Baumgartner filed for divorce on May 1, 2023. Costner’s representative stated PEOPLE on behalf of the actor, saying,
“It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action.”
The child support request for Baumgartner’s three children was $248,000 per month, it was disclosed the next month. According to the lawsuit, the sum “is less than the amount needed to maintain the children in their accustomed lifestyle.”
However, Costner’s team has claimed that $123 620 is available monthly for child support based on state regulations and the actor’s financial situation.
The actor’s team responded to Baumgartner’s lawsuit stating, “Providing the minor children with more than the bare necessities does not require providing ludicrous extravagance designed to primarily benefit the supported parent.”
Fatherhood is one of Costner’s greatest joys; he previously admitted to PEOPLE in November 2022.

Annie Costner, 39
Annie Costner, Kevin Costner’s oldest child, was born in Los Angeles on April 15, 1984. She started following in the footsteps of her renowned father at a young age, playing Christine alongside Costner in the Oscar-winning movie Dances With Wolves.
The Baby-Sitters Club, The Postman, and Lazy Teenage Superheroes are a few of her other acting credits. Annie eventually switched from acting to producing. She founded Sound Off Films with another person in 2014.

Cayden Wyatt Costner, 15
Despite the actor’s reluctance to remarry and have more children after his 1994 divorce from Silva, Costner wed Christine Baumgartner in 2004.
He explained to Parade in 2008, “Christine wanted a child, but I was afraid I couldn’t be an effective father,” “[One day] I woke up and thought, ‘Am I going to lose a beautiful woman who is willing to be with me to my very last breath because I am afraid to say yes to a child?’ That’s all it took. … I decided that I was not going to miss out on love.”

“I hope I have as much energy for Cayden as I had for my first,” he said. “My fundamental fear is that my new baby, someone [else] will raise him, meaning that my life will end prematurely. I won’t get to coach him in what I think it is to be a man. I’d like to be the person that tells him about life.” He added jokingly, “I can fake like I’m asleep longer so I don’t have to do as many diapers.”
The pleased father confessed that Cayden showed some interest in music when he was just a year old. He said, “He has a couple of little guitars, and he listens to the band and sits on my knee sometimes when I do rough tracks,” “He likes a good beat.”
As the couple was expecting their second child, the actor also discussed how he and Baumgartner were preparing Cayden to become a big brother. Costner stated, “We tried to kind of prep him. “We showed him the bassinet where the baby is going to be, and he started throwing junk in there.”

Hayes Logan Costner, 14
On February 12, 2009, in Los Angeles, Hayes Logan Costner was born, weighing 8 pounds, 15 ounces. At his birth, Costner disclosed that the cowboy character in a Western movie he was working on inspired his stage name, saying that Hayes is “a great Western name.”
