‘Kamisama Kiss‘ or ‘Kamisama Hajimemashita’ is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Julietta Suzuki, who also serves as the series’ main character. TMS Entertainment produced and directed the anime adaptation of the show, which was directed by Akitaro Daichi. Kamisama Kiss Plot
The anime’s story revolves around the character Nanami, who has a difficult upbringing, largely due to the incompetence and gambling of her father, who is her primary caregiver. On one occasion, Nanami and her father are evicted from their home because her father has failed to pay the rent after losing all of the money he had through gambling.
Eventually, the debt collectors track her down. Nanami, unsure of what to do or how to save herself, flees to a temporary hiding place and eventually takes up residence on the streets. One day, she comes across a man who is being pursued by a dog, and she decides to assist him. Later in the show, Nanami learns that the man’s name is Mikage, and that he is a local Earth deity who lives in the area. Following his discovery of Nanami’s story, the man transfers all of his celestial powers to Nanami, who is now forced to balance her celestial life with a regular one in order to survive.
