Iyanla Vanzant Daughter
Nisa Vanzant’s cause of death and other details weren’t disclosed then. It’s the second tragedy affecting Iyanla’s family; her daughter Gemma d!ed from colon cancer.
Rhonda Eva Harris gave birth to Iyanla on September 13, 1953, in Brooklyn, New York City. She has a Juris Doctor from the City University of New York School of Law and a Master’s in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica.
Iyanla Vanzant, Nisa’s mother, used Instagram to share the news of her daughter’s passing somberly. The caption reads, “It is with great sorrow that we announce the transition of Nisa Vanzant the youngest daughter of our Beloved Iyanla Vanzant we are asking for your prayers.”
“Please respect the privacy of her and her family at this time. Thank you,” she said in her closing statement. I’m grateful. In 2003, Iyanla lost another daughter, Gemma, to colon cancer. She was just 32 at the time.

Nisa’s Cause of Deαth
The cause of Nisa’s passing has not yet been known to the public. We all know she d!ed on July 30, 2023, at 49. The formal cause of deαth, probably still pending, must be released to the public.
Iyanla uses her social media platform to discuss various emotions and human problems in her capacity as a life coach. She shares advice and strategies to enable individuals to live their best lives. Grief is one of the emotions she has discussed.
“When we lose a loved one to deαth or end a long-term relationship, it is perfectly normal to grieve. We must honor and recognize each stage of grief and every emotion we have. When we do not grieve, we get stuck. We owe it to ourselves and the memory of the relationship to grieve and cleanse our soul.” she said.
