Caitlin McGee now has a motherly role! On Tuesday, September 27, the 34-year-old actress and her actor husband, Patrick Woodall, welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Juniper McGee Woodall. The happy news was shared on the actress’s Instagram account on Wednesday.
In a message filled with emotion, McGee, who is best known for her performances as Sydney on Bluff City Law and Sarah on Home Economics, revealed the happy news to her fans.
The actress penned in her letter, “I adore her so much that it makes my heart hurt.” “Please don’t think we’re odd, but Juniper McGee Woodall, we have a serious crush on you. I am overjoyed to be your mother, you adorable little insect.”
The post, which included a photo of McGee with Juniper at the hospital as well as other shots of the newborn girl being welcomed home, was not the first post that the actress had made about her “little bug.” The majority of McGee’s pregnancy was documented on various social media platforms, beginning in May with an announcement made through an Instagram carousel.
“Well we’re making a person,” she captioned her pregnancy announcement. “From scratch!”
She went on to praise her husband by saying, “And thank you to my beautiful hub for being a truly fantastic partner—holding my hair back, cleaning out puke buckets, buying every cereal and popsicle in the country, to mention a few.” “P, you are such a wonderful person, and I adore you,”
Woodall and McGee first crossed paths in 2014, and they tied the knot in 2015. The actress from Bluff City Law recently discussed some of the challenges she had while filming the third season of Home Economics while she was pregnant. Home Economics has just entered its third season.
“This week was my last day of Home Ec class because the baby is literally going to arrive any second now. To tell you the truth, working those hours, shooting at night, and enduring the intense heat, among other challenges, was difficult. Nevertheless, I did it and I’m proud of myself, “She posted the message on Instagram.
“Thank god for my cast and crew, who have taken such fantastic care of me over the previous few months while I waddled around and concealed my bump behind various comedically big props. And I just want to say that people who give birth are amazing. I have a whole newfound appreciation for anyone who is responsible for bringing a human into this world because it is not an easy task.”

Caitlin decided to share her entire pregnancy journey on Instagram, from the very beginning till the very end, in contrast to other celebrities who choose to keep their pregnancies private. Caitlin made the announcement on Instagram that she and Patrick were expecting their first child not long after the second season of Home Economics had finished filming in May of 2022.
Caitlin penned the following endearing description for the photo: “Now, we are in the process of creating a human. From the ground up! I have to admit that I have not yet experienced the GLOW (unless the glow in question is simply upper lip perspiration), but despite that, we are quite excited to finally meet this little mango in October.”
She said, “I already love you so very much, Bug. To I’d like to extend my gratitude to my amazing spouse for being such an amazing partner in everything from holding my hair back to cleaning out puke buckets and purchasing every box of cereal and popsicle in the county, to mention a few examples. P, you are such a wonderful person, and I adore you.” Caitlin also shared a number of videos and photographs in her post. One of the videos documented her struggle with morning sickness, while the photographs showed her expanding baby bump.
The next day, on June 14, Caitlin disclosed in a post that she would be having a girl for her first child. She took a picture in New York’s Greenwich Village and captioned it, “Had to show baby daughter where her Mom was born.” The location was in New York City.
Best wishes to Caitlin and Patrick on their engagement! ABC airs brand new episodes of the show Home Economics every Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
