C-Knight Cause of Death
C-Knight, a vital member of the legendary hip-hop group Dove Shack, died unexpectedly at the age of 52, leaving the hip-hop world in mourning. He died of a stroke on November 7, 2023, after being on life support for many weeks.
C-Knight, whose actual name Arnez Blount, suffered this stroke as a result of complications from his diabetes battle. His father, George Lee Washington Blount Jr., stated that the stroke occurred when C-Knight was having diabetic dialysis, resulting in a fatal cardiac arrest.
Despite his best efforts, C-Knight remained unresponsive during his time on life support. The family waited for the results of an MRI scan to examine his brain activity before making the difficult decision to let him go.
C-Knight Music Career and Achievements
C-Knight, born Arnez Blount, was born in Long Beach, California, on June 9, 1971. His parents, a jazz musician and gospel singer, raised him musically.
Rap music became his passion, and he founded Dove Shack with boyhood buddies 2Scoops and Bo-Roc in 1994. The song “This Is the Shack” was released by Dove Shack on Warren G’s album Regulate… G Funk Era.
Their song “Summertime in the LBC” from the documentary The Show became popular. It reached No. 54 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 11 on Hot Rap Songs. It became a West Coast anthem and a G-funk classic.
This Is the Shack, Dove Shack’s 1995 debut album, sold over 500,000 copies and garnered excellent reviews. The CD also includes “Smoke Out” and “We Funk (The G Funk)”. The group worked with Nate Dogg, Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, and Tha Dogg Pound. They played Lollapalooza and the Smoking Grooves Tour.
After their debut album, C-Knight left Dove Shack to pursue a solo career. Knight Time, his 2001 solo album, featuring Warren G, Snoop Dogg, and Tray Deee. He also produced and wrote for MC Eiht, RBX, and Bad Azz.
He reunited with Dove Shack for their 2006 indie second album, Reality Has Got Me Tied Up. Nate Dogg sang “There’ll Come a Day” on the CD.
C-Knight recorded with Dove Shack and solo till his death. The Last Knight, his 2024 album, was in the works. He wanted to release The Knight Life, a documentary on his life and career.
C-Knight Personal Life
