A severe health concern is looming for Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell.
According to people, the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo actor, who is 28 years old, has been diagnosed with cancer.
Family sources tell TMZ Anna learned she had stage 4 adrenal carcinoma in January. After complaining of stomach pains, the reality star underwent a series of tests, discovering cancer in her liver, kidney, and lung.
The family of Anna, who got her first round of chemotherapy in February, is “extremely confident” she will recover.
Anna’s team was contacted by E! News for comment, but no response was received.
Adrenal carcinoma is rare cancer that often affects infants under five and adults in their 40s and 50s, according to the Mayo Clinic. According to the Mayo Clinic, there is a chance for a cure if it is discovered early.

With her ex-husband Michael Cardwell, Anna is the mother to Kaitlyn, 10, and Kylee, 7, and returned to Instagram just days before her diagnosis was made public.
“Well I ain’t posted here in a while,” she wrote March 28. “Your girl is back sorry for the photo dump that’s going to happen hahah I love y’all and I hope y’all hope y’all are having a good week #imback #2023 #tiktok.”
“These crazy kids of my mine decided before they go to there dads house. they want to give me a heart attack and catch a chipmunk and bring it in the house and wanted it as a pet,” she joked on Instagram. “And the last photo I can’t explain it’s Kaitlyn. #mychildren #chipmunks #family #kids #instagram.”
Anna hasn’t publicly discussed her diagnosis yet, but she has opened up about her tense bond with her mother June “Mama June” Shannon. Yet, Anna seemed to be in a better place with her mother in February when she attended her second wedding in Panama City, Florida.
“This was the first time the family had all been together since 2014,” Mama June said. “So it was really special to get married in a place where my family and I have had so many memories!”
Anna’s family has reportedly stepped in to help care for her two children while she seeks therapy, according to TMZ.
