Kenneth Ferguson, Allyson Felix’s husband, and Camryn, their gorgeous kid, won’t be appearing more at the Tokyo Games. If it wasn’t already clear from their social media posts and joyful post-race reunion at the Olympic Trials earlier this summer, Felix and Ferguson’s connection is utterly endearing.
Ferguson was once a standout in the track and field, as followers of the pair on Instagram may already be aware. His speciality, like Felix’s, was the 400-meter sprint in addition to hurdles. Although the two haven’t revealed the actual start date of their romance, it probably began at a sporting event (as all great sports love stories do).
In honour of Felix’s birthday in November, Ferguson wrote a touching letter, saying, “In my eyes, you are exactly the way you were when I saw you for the first time 18 years ago in Palo Alto…Beautiful and fine! Happy Birthday Shug.”
Since they have kept that aspect of their relationship quiet, this indicates that the couple first met in or around 2002 when they were both junior competitors at the national level. (The competitions were placed in Palo Alto, California, by chance.)

“Two of my favorite people @allysonfelix and @supermanferg renewed their vows today and it was more beautiful than these photos can capture,” Shelburne wrote.
