One month has passed since Jamie Foxx was admitted to the hospital due to a “medical complication.” After several media sites said that his family was “getting ready for the worst,” his daughter Corinne Foxx announced on Friday (12 May) that the actor had been out of the hospital “for weeks.”
“Sad to see how the media runs wild,” she wrote on Instagram. “My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks recuperating. He was playing pickleball yesterday!” The 55-year-old Django Unchained actor’s illness’s specifics are still unknown.

What Happened About Jaime Foxx Illness?
In a statement published on social media on April 12, Corinne, 29, stated, “We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday.”
“Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers,” she continued. “The family asks for privacy during this time.”
In the weeks after Foxx was admitted to the hospital, conflicting reports about his condition have surfaced. While most stories indicated that the actor was recovering fully, a source told Radar on Tuesday, May 9, that his friends and family were “hoping for the best – but preparing for the worst.”
In her tweet on May 12, Corinne expressly criticized Radar’s report. Foxx was “doing better” on April 20, Bad Boys actor Martin Lawrence told Extra.
Beat Shazam posted, “Everybody at FOX Entertainment wishes Jamie well as he continues his recovery, and we greatly appreciate Nick’s willingness to jump in and help this summer.”
“My prayers go out for him every night and just wishing the best for him, one of the best that we got in Hollywood. Not only one of the best entertainers, but a good person,” he was also decent.
On May 3, Foxx broke his online silence to express his gratitude to his supporters. “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed [prayer, heart and fox emoji],” on his Instagram Story to express his gratitude.
Foxx also thanked Nick Cannon for stepping in to host the Fox game show Beat Shazam in his place. I’m praying, man.“Man, I’m praying. I literally have been saying prayers out loud,” Cannon said of Foxx. On May 4, comedian Kevin Hart supported Foxx’s recovery.
“The dope thing is that he’s getting better in his situation, and everybody’s prayers, everybody’s love, energy, all that stuff is seen and felt [by him],” Hart said on the Impaulsive podcast with presenters Logan Paul and Mike Majlak.

“In this case, you just want the guy to get out of the situation and get back home.” “I don’t know the details – or the exact details – as to what’s going on, but to my knowledge, there’s a lot of progression and a world of better,” said Hart.
