Wotakoi Season 2 Release Date Status: Is This Series Coming in 2022!

Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku is an anime television series based on a manga series of the same name, Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii. On April 17, 2014, Fujita’s manga series was released for the first time.

Sword Art Online Season 4 (A-1 Pictures) aired on the Noitamina television block from April to June 2018. Since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting news of a second season based on the success of the original series. So far, the following is all we know about what to expect from WOTAKOI Season 2.

Wotakoi Season 2 Release Date

There has been an official promo video published for the upcoming OVA of “WOTAKOI: No Cheats for Love,” which was first revealed back in August. The video gives some insight into what to expect from the upcoming episode.

It will be released on February 26, 2021, in Japan, as part of a special edition of the tenth manga series, “Tomodachi no Kyori.” The song “Love or Respect” is introduced in the video below.

As of now, A-1 Pictures has not announced Season 2, and we’ll have to wait and see what happens. Season 2 of Wotakoi is expected to premiere sometime in 2022. Season 2 of the program is yet to get formal announcements, but we’ll keep you updated as soon as we do.

Studio A-1 Pictures, which made “Sword Art Online: Progressive Movie,” produced the eleven-episode anime series “WOTAKOI: No Cheats for Love,” which aired on Japanese television in the spring of 2018. Director Yoshimasa Hiraike also created the story. The characters were designed by Takahiro Yasuda, while the music was composed by Akimitsu Honma. All episodes are available with subtitles on Amazon Prime Video.

There Will Be Yet Another Ova For Wotakoi

An announcement was made on the official Twitter account of “WOTAKOI: No Cheats for Love” (jap.: “Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii”).

It has been announced that the sixth volume of Fujita’s Romance series would be adapted into an OVA episode, which will be released in Japan on October 14, 2021, along with the special edition of the eleventh and final manga volume. Production is handled by Studio Lapintrack (Sarazanmai).

Narumi works at an office and is secretly a Yaoi-obsessed fan. When she decides to switch careers, she runs across Hirotaka, a good-looking video game nerd from her past. Because they are both geeks, it is impossible for them to have a long-term relationship.
