In 2023, there were numerous cast changes for General Hospital. There were some new arrivals and returns, but departures made up most of the changes. A few actors who left this year are listed below.
General Hospital star Kelly Thiebaud is leaving the show
Kelly Thiebaud has portrayed Britt Westbourne since 2012. Throughout her 10-year tenure, the performer departed several times. Now, she’s getting ready to leave once more—this time permanently. The reason for Thiebaud’s departure, according to Soaps.com, is that she will be playing Eva Vasquez again on Station 19.
The writers have chosen a sorrowful path regarding Britt’s departure. Britt has discovered that Huntington’s sickness is worsening than she anticipated. She is organizing her affairs and spending time with her loved ones because she knows she doesn’t have much time left. The final days Thiebaud spent playing Britt will be heartbreaking and could earn her actor another Daytime Emmy in 2023.

Michael Blake Kruse’s brief run as Rory Cabrera ends
Michael Blake Kruse added Rory Cabrera to the General Hospital cast in March 2022. The youthful heroine Trina Robinson and the hot policeman drew in the female watchers (Tabyana Ali). Spencer Cassadine is envious of Rory and Trina’s friendship (Nicholas Alexander Chavez).
Little else was known about Rory’s past other than that he was a cop and Trina’s lover. Sadly, following the devastating events of the Dec. 14 episode, viewers will never get to see Rory again. When Rory followed a lead on the hook killer, the unidentified assailant stabbed him. He was taken to the hospital and made love to Trina before passing away from his injuries.
Johnny Wactor’s character Brando Corbin was killed off at General Hospital
The hook killer claimed more victims than only Rory. After rescuing Kristina Corinthos, Brando was attacked in an alley in September (Lexi Ainsworth). Following surgery, it seemed as though Brando would make it.
But after being poisoned, he suffered an allergic response and passed away. Brando’s passing shocked Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and the people of Port Charles. Wactor made a cryptic suggestion that Brando might come back despite his passing. You know, that’s soap. The actor told Soap Opera Digest, “I may pass away and return in a few months.”

Sydney Mikayla left the serial opera to concentrate on her studies
One of General Hospital’s adored young heroines is Trina. Sydney Mikayla, who started portraying the part in 2019, has come to be associated with it. Due to Mikayla’s outstanding performance, she was nominated for two Daytime Emmy Awards.
But in March 2022, Mikayla quit the show after three years. She left because she wanted to focus on education, the actor explained. The producers swiftly replaced Trina with Ali, who made his debut later that month, as Ali was in a significant storyline.
Harmony Miller’s three-year tenure with Inga Cadranel came to an end early this year
One of General Hospital’s worst antagonists is Harmony Miller. Kidnapping and murder are among the crimes committed by the ex-cult member. After three years, Harmony’s reign of terror over Port Charles ended in May 2022.

Harmony fled after attempting to murder Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn). She stopped in the middle of the road, which is why Sasha ran into her. Harmony later succumbed to her wounds, but not before telling Carly that Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) mother was Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
