Miss Scarlet And The Duke Season 1 Recap

Eliza Scarlet, the daughter of a renowned detective, Henry Scarlet, is left alone in Victorian London following her father’s death. She was financially strapped, and so she decided to restart her father’s detective business. She enlists the assistance of her childhood buddy, William Wellington, a.k.a. The Duke, who lends her some cases as well. He is Scotland Yard’s Detective Inspector. Due to a lack of cases, she used to take them from his office.

Wiliam was reared as a street child by her late father. He enrolled him in the police academy. Willaim and Eliza exchanged kisses as children. Though William was oblivious to her ambitions and wants, he genuinely cares about her. Eliza is a quarrelsome person, but only a few people are aware of this. William and Moses assist her with the cases, as she was not very gifted at solving puzzles.

She quickly discovered that their house was on the lease, and she was instructed to pay the outstanding balance unless she was forced to vacate. She sought assistance from both men. They sent her cases to solve, and she was also assigned one to prove a man’s innocence when he was discovered with a bloodied knife.

She also discovered a disturbing secret about her father. She and William visited an abandoned prison and learned that it was being used as a hideaway by a criminal group. Moses quickly informs her that the man she is thinking of is not William.
