After a week-long competition, only 10 artists made it to the Season 1 finale of NBC’s American Song Contest.
These artists were both independent and Grammy Award winners. Michael Bolton, who is from Connecticut, was one of the contestants who could have won “Best Original Song.”
In the first episode, Michael sang his single “Beautiful World” for the first time on ASC. He ended up making it to the finals.
But this step comes a few months after Michael cancelled a show because he was worried about his health. Many fans thought Michael might be sick after hearing the news. But should we really be worried? Here’s the latest on the musician’s condition.
Despite Widespread Illness Reports, Michael Bolton Seems to Be in Fine Shape
Even though there were rumours that the 69-year-old star might be sick, Michael looked great during his semi-finals performance. Even though he lost, he kept up the same level of energy in the Season 1 finale.
He hasn’t always been in great shape, though. In 2019, he used Twitter to say that doctors told him to skip his show in Finland.
He wrote in a tweet, “My dear fans in Finland, it is with a heavy heart that, under doctors’ orders, I will be unable to perform at my show in Oulu on Friday due to illness. I struggled through the show in Tampere and have been ordered to rest and get treatment.”

That wasn’t the last time he had to cancel plans because of his health. Several fans were worried when Michael cancelled a few shows in the U.K. in October 2021, but at the time, they didn’t know much more about his health.
From what I can tell, he may have had a minor illness in the fall of 2021, which could have required a few days off. Either way, Michael seems to have gotten better quickly and is back on stage. In the second half of October 2021, he will give a series of concerts in the U.K.
Some think Michael Bolton has Parkinson’s disease, however, this is just a rumour. People think Michael might have the disease based on the way he moves lately.

Michael has not yet issued a statement in response to the rumour. Tony Bennett confirmed that he has Alzheimer’s disease in February 2021, and Ozzy Osbourne said he has Parkinson’s disease in January 2020.
Is Samson syndrome a possibility for Michael Bolton? Several websites say that Michael Bolton has Samson syndrome, but there is no proof that this is true. We also couldn’t prove that Samson syndrome is a real disease.
