Marc Maron Girlfriend
Darkness has always been a component of Marc Maron’s humor. The comic is renowned for being frank, truthful, and pessimistic about almost all facets of his life.
That includes the unexpected passing of his partner, the director Lynn Shelton, who passed away in May 2020 from misdiagnosed acute leukemia, in his most recent HBO special, Marc Maron: From Bleak to Dark. He shared a post on Instagram with captioned, “I miss her”

When writer-director Lynn Shelton passed away in May, it was a tragic loss for the film industry, for moviegoers who were familiar with her from her intimate, low-budget works like “Humpday” and “Your Sister’s Sister,” as well as for TV viewers who were just beginning to become aware of her work as a filmmaker on shows like “GLOW” and “The Morning Show.”
She was nominated for directing an Emmy posthumously on Tuesday for the Hulu limited series “Little Fires Everywhere.” Shelton, 54, is survived by his family, close friends, and many former colleagues, including Marc Maron, a comedian, actor, and longtime host of the “WTF” podcast.
Maron had been directed by Shelton in her 2019 movie “Sword of Trust,” his stand-up specials “Too Real” (2017) and “End Times Fun” (2020), as well as his IFC series “Maron,” among other productions. After a protracted and occasionally awkward courting that started when Shelton made an appearance as a guest on “WTF” in 2015, they had also been romantically involved for about a year.
Maron, 56, hasn’t had a lot of chances to grieve privately for Shelton. He has embraced the idea of transparency even amid his suffering. He is well-recognized for his candid and ruthlessly confessional attitude as a comedian and podcaster.

Maron stressed the significance of being honest about his pain in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, both for the sake of his fellow listeners and for himself. He claimed that while thinking about his sadness had not lessened it, it had instead made him more aware of how inevitable and commonplace it was.
Maron said in a post, “I know for a FACT Lynn Shelton would be thrilled with her Emmy nomination for directing for @littlefireshulu! Deserved. She was the real deal. Miss her. A lot. Love her. #RIP”
