Locke & Key Season 3 Plot
Frederick Gideon, a revolutionary war soldier. Who may be possessed by the most powerful demon. The Black Door, was introduced as an Echo in the season 2 finale of Locke and Key. When Demon Student Eden Hawkins found out which of her brethren was attached to Gideon’s soul. She was surprised, but her surprise quickly turned to fear when Gideon picked her up by the ankles and threw her into a well.
It’s safe to assume that this new antagonist will show no mercy, unlike Dodge, who grew fond of Kinsey Locke by the end of season two. Season 3 appears to deviate more from the original Locke and Key comics (from which the show is adapted) due to the introduction of Gideon, a character who does not appear in the books.
While this may cause concern amongst fans of the source material, it should give the upcoming season a welcome air of mystery and keep viewers on the edge of their seats. “The third season focuses much more heavily on the family,” showrunner Meredith Averill told Collider. They are about to face their greatest enemy so far.
Is Locke & Key ending with season 3?
Locke and Key will end with its third season on Netflix. As sad as that may be. Fans can take solace in the fact that the show is ending on its own terms. With a pre-planned conclusion that should help them feel a sense of closure, despite the show’s short run by US drama standards.
In a statement, executive producers Carlton Cuse and Meredith Averill said, Once we began working on the series. we felt three seasons was the ideal length to bring the story of the Locke family. Their Keyhouse adventures to a satisfying conclusion.
As writers, we are extremely appreciative. We were given the freedom to tell the incredible story. Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez in the way. They felt most natural to us. However, we will be keeping the magical keys for our own purposes.
