Confronting the facts. The one thing in her life that Kristin Cavallari doesn’t look back on with regret is getting divorced. In a recent episode of The School of Greatness, the former cast member of Very Cavallari discussed how she has been feeling since the end of her marriage to Jay Cutler.
On the podcast that was released on June 29, 2022, she shared her side of the tale. “Getting a divorce was by far the most terrifying thing I’ve ever done in my life. But it’s been the finest thing that I’ve ever done, and it has kicked off my path on self-love and figuring out who I am now,” she admitted. “But it’s been the best thing that I’ve ever done.” She said this about her three children with her husband Jay: Camden, Saylor, and Jaxon.
“My kids have inspired me to become the best version of myself,” she said. I can’t be a better parent to my children than I am to myself. If I have nothing left in me, I cannot give them anything. The single most important thing is for me to be able to love and care for myself to be able to love and care for my children, as well as to support and encourage them.
Because of it, I am now in a much more calm and more relaxed state. I cannot remember a time in my life when I have felt better than I do right now. “I’m as happy as I’ve ever been,” she proclaimed with self-assurance. “I’m no longer terrified about getting wounded.”
She then proceeded to convey her joy about getting back into the dating world. “Because I feel like I’ve put in a lot of effort over the past few years, I’m looking forward to discovering who I can be in a new romantic partnership. When the time comes for me to be in a new relationship, even if I’m not in a hurry to do so, the prospect of discovering how different I can be will excite and thrill me.
The idea that Kristin should get back out there on the dating scene has been brought up by her children on more than one occasion. She shared a series of Instagram stories on June 23, 2022, in which her kids Camden and Jaxon appeared. She revealed her plan by saying, “I’m getting dating advice from my boys.” “Jaxon just suggested I need to date somebody older.”
“A lot older. “Your generation is insane,” her son said in response. After that, the boys made a joke about how their mother should “wear better lipstick.” She elaborated by saying, “The lads despise my orange lips.” “Perhaps that is the source of the problem. Today I’m sporting a bright orange [lipstick]!”
During this time, Jay found himself in the middle of some drama involving his neighbors when it was rumored that he had an affair with his neighbor’s wife. On May 18, 2022, a source close to the situation revealed to InTouch Weekly that Kristin was believed to have learned the news through a friend and that she stated that “she simply wants to disassociate herself from all of this.”
Jay has disclosed additional information, including the fact that after their divorce was finalized, he went out and “partied.” In a podcast he released on June 1, 2022, the former quarterback for the Chicago Bears shared his side of the tale, saying, “When the settlement came through, I threw a party.” A divorce is something that I would never suggest to anyone.
I’m just going to come right out and say it, but everything turned out okay in the end. Everything turned out well for Kristin. On the show, he shared his reflections on how well “everything worked out for me, so it is what it is.” TMZ approached Kristin on June 6, 2022, and she responded to his comment about partying by telling the publication, “I’ve been partying for 2 years straight.”
In April 2020, Jay and Kristin decided to divorce the public. They issued a joint statement in which they said, “With great regret, after 10 years together we have come to the loving conclusion to get a divorce.” This was made in the context of the couple’s decision to end their marriage.
“There is nothing but love and respect between us, and we are profoundly thankful for the years we’ve spent together, the memories we’ve made, and the children we are so proud of,” she said. Simply put, this is a case of two individuals continuing to drift apart. We ask that everyone accept our need for privacy as we work through this challenging period within our family.
