Tell your friends the Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake spin-off series is finally coming! It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about the series, which stars gender-flipped versions of Finn and Jake from Adventure Time, which was first announced in 2021.
Now that a release date has been set, it turns out that sure lucky San Diego Comic-Con attendees will even get to experience the global premiere of the first episode! Fionna and Cake may have begun as simple Rule 63 illustrations of Adventure Time’s protagonists Finn and Jake.
But they have now become some of the show’s most adored characters. Let’s know more about Fionna and Cake’s Release Date.
Fionna and Cake Release Date
Fionna & Cake, which has been in development since 2021, will make its television debut on August 31, 2023, on Max. Since Fionna and Cake first appeared in the main series, some fans have been pleading for a Fionna and Cake spinoff.
As a result, this spinoff has been long overdue. Sadly, since this program is being referred to as a “limited series,” no additional seasons are probably in the works. Here you can also find the Twitter post related to the release date:

Who Stars in Fionna and Cake?
In the Adventure Time episodes starring Fionna and Cake, Martin also provided the voice of Fionna. She previously played Madeleine in The Marvelous Ms Maisel and voiced JoJo in the television series JoJo’s Circus.
Roz Ryan, Cake’s voice actress from Adventure Time, will also portray Cake. In Disney’s Hercules and Hercules the Animated Series, Ryan previously provided the voice of Thalia, one of the Muses.
Additionally, she provided the voice of Bubbie the Whale in The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, the grandmother of Cyborg in Teen Titans Go!, and Grandma Gayle King in the Zendaya-starring television series K.C. Undercover.
Tom Petrikov will also voice Simon Kenny, who will reprise his Adventure Time role. Due to his crown, which gave him ice abilities but also drove him insane, Petrkov spent most of Adventure Time as the Ice King.

Although Kenny is most famous for lending his voice to SpongeBob SquarePants, that is not his only noteworthy contribution. Additionally, he provided the voices for Dog in the CatDog television series, Scoutmaster Lumpus in Camp Lazlo, and Squanchy in Rick and Morty.
The presence of Prince Gumball and Marshall Lee, two more Adventure Time characters with their genders switched, has not yet been confirmed. (In Adventure Time, Donald Glover and Neil Patrick Harris provided the voices of Marshall Lee and Prince Gumball, respectively.)
Also unknown is whether or not the Ice Queen will appear in this new series. Grey DeLisle voiced her in Adventure Time. Adam Muto is Fionna and Cake.
In addition, Muto worked on the Adventure Time: Distant Lands specials and served as the showrunner for multiple seasons of Adventure Time. Muto contributed to the storyboards for Steven Universe and Summer Camp Island in addition to Adventure Time.
Natasha Allegri, an Adventure Time artist who later created the Fionna and Cake comic, started the original concept art for Fionna and Cake. Bee and PuppyCat, an endearing and surprisingly philosophical series, was also created by Allegri.
Pendleton Ward was the show’s original creator. However, he left the project midway through its first season and has since worked on projects including Midnight Gospel, Bee, and Puppycat.
