After recently collaborating with Davido on “Showing Off Her Body,” DaBaby is back with a brand new tune, “Tough Skin.” The song is accompanied by a music video created by Reel Goats, in which the North Carolina rapper is shown hanging upside down from a cross like Jesus and being set on fire by a bunch of individuals in red suits who have their faces covered. He then said on Instagram, “Let’s get this Baby on Baby 2 crap started.” After that he wrote, “Don’t trip, it’s just the warm-up.”

During a July podcast appearance on Full Send, he remarked of the album, “This is the most care I’ve taken to some music before I’ve dropped it.” At the start of the month of August, I’m going to stop doing it.

Since teaming up with YoungBoy Never Broke Again in April for their collaborative album Better Than You, DaBaby has been keeping fans waiting for the follow-up to his 2019 debut album Baby on Baby. He hasn’t released an album under his own name since 2016’s “Back on My Baby Jesus Sh!t Again,” thus Baby on Baby 2 will be his return to the solo scene.
