Jimmie Allen, a country music performer, is going through a number of changes in his life right now, including the separation from his wife Alexis Gale.
Friday, Allen posted on Instagram that he and Gale had decided to part ways “after much thought.” Additionally, he disclosed that their family would be growing.
“As we navigate this life change, we can also share that we will be welcoming another child together later this year,” he wrote.
“Our number one priority is and always will be ensuring that our children are healthy, happy and loved and we remain committed to co-parenting with love and respect for one another.” On her personal Instagram page, Gale shared a similar statement.

“In light (of) our growing family, we respectfully request privacy during this time,” he added.
According to an August 2021 interview with People, Allen and Gale wed privately in 2020 before exchanging vows publicly in 2021.
Zara is 1 years old and Naomi is 3 years old. In addition, Allen has an 8-year-old son named Aadyn from a prior union.

“I wanted to be a dad and do music, that’s it. I never wanted to get married. The whole husband thing was not something I ever wanted to do,” Allen told People. “But Alexis changed that. Now, I like it.”
With the release of his song “Big Shot” in 2018, Allen created music history by being the first Black artist to have his debut single hit No. 1 on the country radio charts.
At the CMA Awards in 2021, he also became the second Black musician to take home the coveted New Artist of the Year trophy. In 2009, Darius Rucker won.
