AJ McLean’s wife instills a passion for music in her young daughters. In a touching Instagram post on Sunday, Rochelle McLean showed off a snapshot of herself and her two young kids, Elliott, 9, and Lyric, 5, during the Los Angeles concert leg of Lady Gaga’s Chromatica Ball tour.
“About last night… @ladygaga with my girls 🎶🖤🎶,” the mom captioned the photo, where she has one of her daughters on each side of her and all three smile from their floor seats at the show.
“Entertaining and inspiring. There is no one like her! Thank you @livenation for a night we will never forget 🖤.”
In another photo from the night Elliott posted to her Instagram Story, she is seen turning her back to the camera while dressed in a baggy white T-shirt bearing the tour dates, black high-heeled shoes, and black calf-length socks.
Recently, the 44-year-old Backstreet Boys singer and his wife Rochelle posted a cute photo of their girls on their first day of school on Instagram. Each girl proudly hoisted a giant balloon with her name and the grade she would be entering this fall.
On the same day that their older daughter began fourth grade, Lyric started kindergarten. Some users wondered if the couple’s oldest daughter had legally changed her name after seeing the balloon, which now read “Elliott” instead of her birth name.
Later, Rochelle (then 40) posted separate images of her daughters on Instagram and answered some inquiries about the origin of her oldest daughter’s name.

For those wondering, Rochelle said, “not that it’s anyone’s business but Elliott’s name change is not a gender thing.” She said that her daughter had tried out a few different names before settling on Elliott, which “stuck” after she asked her parents to begin using it last year.
“Since there are countless other Ava’s in the world, she yearned for one item that would set her apart. If she wants to be different, I don’t see why that shouldn’t be supported.” McLean discussed his hopes of making it big on Broadway and the potential benefits of relocating to New York City with his family during his March presentation at 90s Con.
Performing on Broadway “is number one on my bucket list,” McLean added. I’m not going to tell you where, but within the next two years, my family and I want to relocate to New York for the duration of a single calendar year.
He continued by saying that if they did relocate, his two daughters would be able to attend some of their preferred institutions “they’re both little mess and they both go to extremely nice ballet schools in New York. They have a strong desire to be center stage.”
