According to the fire department of the city of Los Angeles, at least three persons were murdered and at least four others were injured in a shooting on Saturday. This was the fourth mass shooting in the state of California in the past week.
A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Fire Department claimed that they responded to a call for help at 2:35 in the morning on a residential street that is located northwest of downtown.
The fire department reported that responders discovered three individuals deceased and two persons injured, both of whom were sent to a hospital. According to the spokeswoman, two additional people drove themselves to the hospital.
KCAL, a local affiliate of CNN, said that the incident took place in the Beverly Crest enclave, which is located just outside of Beverly Hills. Five of the victims were shot while standing in front of a house, while three of the victims were shot while inside a car.
Police said the first call came in about an “assault with a deadly weapon,” the station reported.
The four people hospitalized are reportedly in critical condition, the station said.
