Stephen Collins, who portrayed the pastor/dad on “7th Heaven,” admitted to molesting the children of his estranged wife on video, which TMZ was able to obtain. Additionally, the New York Police Department is looking into a criminal case involving many youngsters and se*ual intercourse.
Collins disclosed to actress Faye Grant in 2012 that he had raped and/or exposed himself to multiple minor girls years earlier. Collins and Grant are currently going through a bitter, protracted div0rce. Collins and Grant visited a therapist who grilled him about the events; he responded and was detailed.
Collins was unaware of the following at the time. Grant recorded the counseling session. According to reports, her attorney instructed her that it was acceptable to covertly film the chat because abusing a child under the age of 14 qualifies as a violent felony in California, where it is permissible to do so.
The names of the victims Collins mentions on tape have been protected. While listening, you’ll hear Collins use the terms “disclosure” and “list.” The therapy session was brought on by Collins’s confession to his wife.
Collins says, “There was one moment of touching where her hand, I put her hand on my penis.” He admits to abusing an 11-year-old New York girl who was a relative of his first wife. He also admits to having “a couple of times” exposed himself to the girl when she was 11, 12, and 13.
“When you exposed yourself … did you have an erection?” asks Grant. “No, I mean, no. Partial, maybe I think,” he answers. Partially, I believe.
Then Grant asks if there are any other girls. Collins cites a local L.A. girl but claims he made an effort to make amends by apologizing to her years later.
They then discuss yet another girl. It’s astonishing… Collins struggles to distinguish between the girls but eventually clarifies and admits the incident. This girl, reportedly between the ages of 12 and 13, was also from New York.

Information obtained, the NYPD has the recording, and on Wednesday, two detectives from the Special Victims Unit of the NYPD flew to Los Angeles to speak with Grant. They reportedly questioned her about the recording and additional potential witnesses.

According to a representative of the NYPD, there is an ongoing inquiry. There are “at least 3 victims” and the investigation focuses on “inappropriate se*ual contact with minors.”
Law enforcement officials stated one suspected victim in the probe is a relative of Collins’ first wife, who allegedly reported the molestation for the first time in 2012.
Even though the molestation occurred decades ago, a law enforcement source tells us that they still think the case can be pursued because the statute of limitations begins to run on the reporting date.
Collins, a Screen Actors Guild’s National Board member, routinely communicates with young actors and actresses. He appeared in “7th Heaven” and the Family program “The Fosters,” about a group of young children growing up in a foster family. He also appeared in the current drama “Revolution,” which used players who were too young to act.
