Early in the evening, Card and three other missionaries were on their way when a semi-truck struck their bus. The local church members in Brazil care for the other missionaries, who had minor injuries.
According to the church, Card has been a full-time missionary since October 2022. The church posted a statement on its website saying,
“We send our love to Elder Card’s family and friends and the missionaries and members in the Brazil Curitiba Mission.”
“We pray that each will find peace and comfort as they mourn this faithful missionary and reflect on his Christlike service.”
