When Warrior Nun debuted on Netflix, it was hailed as a divine gift. Based on Ben Dunn’s comic book character Warrior Nun Areala, Warrior Nun premiered in July 2020. The plot centres on Ava Silva, a 19-year-old whose life is turned upside down when she awakens in a morgue with an artefact embedded in her back and an unexpected new set of skills.

Warrior Nun Season 2 : Renewal Status
There is some good news for Warrior Nun fans. Only a month after the first season premiered on television, it was reported that the second season will include new episodes as well. When Netflix learned of the news, it shocked the cast with an adorably adorable surprise video, which was subsequently posted online.

Simon Barry, Warrior Nun’s showrunner, said on December 4 that he had already seen all of the future episodes, commenting on Twitter that fans had every reason to be enthusiastic about the series’ second season.
“After watching the entire second season of #WarriorNun this week, I can pronounce it to be a ‘Holy Hand Grenade’ season,” he tweeted. “Be prepared for [explosions],” reads the statement.

When will Warrior Nun Season 2 be released?
It will be some time before we can return to the horrific action. While Season 1 premiered in early July 2020, the show was unable to begin filming for Season 2 until summer 2021. Barry stated on November 3, 2021 that main unit production has officially concluded, leaving only second unit and post production. If all goes according to plan, we may see more Warrior Nun later in 2022.

Warrior Nun Season 2 Plot
The series depicted the evil force escaping from the tomb where he had been imprisoned by the Vatican for years and summoning his demons into this realm. After Season 1’s jaw-dropping shocks and the series’s conclusion in the midst of a battle with everyone’s destiny hanging in the balance, everyone was left with a slew of unanswered questions. Warrior Nun Season 2 will begin off where the last season left off and will undoubtedly take us on a roller coaster trip loaded with action, excitement, and a few surprises.
Who in the cast is returning for Warrior Nun Season 2?
Given that Simon Barry informed all of the Warrior Sisters of the renewal news, it’s a foregone conclusion that those sisters in demon slaying will return. Thus, anticipate to see more of Ava (Alba Baptista), Shotgun Mary (Toya Tuner), Sister Lilith (Lorena Andrea), Sister Beatrice (Kristina Tonteri-Young), and Sister Camila (Kristina Tonteri-Young) (Olivia Delcan). Additionally, more of Jillian Salvius (Thekla Reuten), Father Vincent (Tristan Ulloa), and Mother Superion would make sense (Sylvia De Fanti). Adriel, as portrayed by William Miller, should also play a larger role in Season 2, as indicated in the first season conclusion, as he is the diabolical, evil power causing this divine havoc.
Even if Ava is rapidly becoming a part of the heavenly realm rather than the terrestrial one, that does not mean that characters like JC (Emilio Sakraya) will not make future appearances. According to Barry, there is “always” room for human beings in Warrior Nun since he and the series’ creators want the series’ mythology to be continually balanced by this reality.

Regrettably, we’re unlikely to see any additional footage until we learn the film’s critical release date. However, we guarantee that as soon as we learn, you will be informed. Therefore, we can only hope and pray that it will be soon.
