The actor is busy promoting his upcoming film in the Marvel Universe of Spider-Man – Spider-Man: No Way Home. He recently gave an interview in an episode of Hot Ones with First We Feast, which is a Youtube channel, where Spider-Man Actor Tom Holland explains why Marvel star Jon Bernthal slapped him during shooting
Amidst having some hot and deliciously spicy chicken wings, Tom had a tale to share about his co-actor in the film Pilgrimage, Jon Bernthal.
Talking about his readiness for a serious shot in that film, Tom divulged that he found it “quite helpful” if someone “roughs him up” before his scene.
Jon’s Reaction and Tom on Jon
He recalls, “I said to Jon, ‘Mate, listen, before the scene, could you just rough me up a bit? Just scare me a little bit, please,” and Jon refused. “He was like, ‘Nah, man, I don’t wanna do that. You’re my little brother. I love you, man.”
Subsequently adhering to Tom’s appeal, his fellow Marvel actor landed a blow on his face just when the shooting restarted.
Tom went to explain that, ” it was great, and it worked so well for the scene. He just didn’t want me to know it was coming. He properly cracked me one.”
Despite their made-up acrimonious exchange, Tom said he would “love” to be cast alongside Jon Bernthal in some future movie.
He further added, ” I look back on that as a very found experience, and meeting him was one of the highlights.” ” We haven’t had the chance to work together since, but I would love to.”
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever set to restart production with Letitia Wright in the month of January
Holland’s Character in Spider-Man in Marvel Universe
Tom’s character in the Marvel Universe as Peter Parker is enhanced by the actor’s zest, yet the loss of his father-figure-like mentor, Tony Stark has rendered Spider-Man in quite a sensitive state.
Holland has indicated that the upcoming installment in the Spider-Man film series will showcase a dark and gloomy version of the Spider-Man. And with the acceptance of another trilogy in the Spider-Man series, it could come out that Peter Parker’s cheerfulness of the character could be cut down.
It also seems probable that Tom had requested a few of his co-actors of Marvel to slap him like Bernthal. One thing can be assured to the fans that the character of Peter Parker becomes more vulnerable as he faces new challenges and perils of the multiverse in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
