In an interview with People that was published on November 30, Tammie stated that even though some people knew Jason’s name, the two of them had a very normal existence with ups and downs, just like everyone else.
“It has astonished and saddened me beyond belief to see that the media has transformed the tragedy that befell my family into an exaggerated story. Since Jason’s passing, I have been subjected to internet harassment and I can no longer bear to watch as my husband’s honorable reputation is sullied.” Tammie, who was married to Jason for 19 years, expressed that the devastating news of his death is “as much of a shock to me as it does to everybody else.”
Tammie said, “I loved my husband, and we were both trying to work through the issues that we were having.” “The fact is that I was completely unaware that Jason was contemplating pulling the plug on everything. Although he had previously struggled with challenges related to his mental health and despair, I had no way of knowing what would take place later that night.”
She recalled that on the evening that Jason passed away, she and Jason had gone out dancing and that they had stayed out “till the bar closed.” After that, the couple, who had been staying in different hotel rooms because, “to put it simply, my spouse snored,” retreated to Jason’s room to continue their night.
She explained, “When we got back to the hotel, Jason and I were having a sincere and emotional discourse in his room.” “When we got back to the hotel,” she added, “we were having a conversation.” I went downstairs to fetch us some snacks from the lobby so that I could assist Jason in relaxing and regaining his composure before going to bed.
Tammie reported that when she got back from her trip, Jason “had no answer” to the door when she knocked on it. When it was over, the police came to the scene. Tammie expressed her regret by saying, “It was supposed to be a nice weekend vacation, but unfortunately, I lost the love of my life.” “Although Jason was a kind man, he was not free from the demons that tormented him. He had the same human qualities that we do, just like the rest of us.”
