Career
Kid Rock began his career in the 1980s as a member of The Beast Crew. Kid Rock signed with Jive Records at the age of 17 and released Grits Sandwiches for Breakfast in 1990. Kid Rock became one of the most popular rappers in Detroit after the success of his debut album, and he toured alongside Ice Cube and Too Short. He was eventually dropped by Jive Records.

Kid Rock re-signed with Continuum Records in 1992 and teamed up with the Insane Clown Posse. With his second album, The Polyfuze Method, released in 1993, he shifted to a more rock-oriented style.
