Healer Girl Episode 2 Recap
Young-shin recounts her father’s suggestion to make her profession the second-most enjoyable aspect of her life, and her hobbies the most enjoyable aspect of her life. This, she continues, is why her father works as a lawyer specializing in police matters while also running a café frequented by his “fans”: cops and ex-convicts. Young-shin refers to them as her friends, and a flashback shows her as a young woman learning how to pick locks and pockets, as well as how to open a safe, surrounded by proud and adoring ajusshis.
Young-shin is late for work and just makes the bus. As Jung-hoo boards behind her, we catch up on the last episode. He catches her when the bus starts off and she loses her balance, but he dodges out of sight as soon as she regains her footing.
Young-shin explains that through her nefarious companions, she gained a sort of intuition, which allows her to recognise when she is being watched. Jung-hoo ducks so she doesn’t see the spy’s face every time she snaps around to catch him.
Ajumma Min-ja (knitting in her hacker’s cave, hehe) shouts in his earpiece not to mess up — a few strands of hair will enough. Young-shin, on the other hand, unwittingly foils him every time he attempts to reach for them. When she eventually puts on a hat, his look is priceless. Ha!
He pursues her off the bus, irritated that she isn’t simple to catch. Min-ja recommends him to target her luggage instead, which may contain a hairbrush or toothbrush from which he may obtain his samples, as he suspects she is on to him.
