After the Foo Fighters’ act on Friday night in London, frontman Dave Grohl urged the fans to roar, but not in an appropriate manner to close the performance.
Grohl called for one final roar in support of Taylor “f******” Hawkins. Taylor, you are very loved! Hawkins, the Foo Fighters drummer, passed away in March at 50. This was the first of two memorial shows.
The lineup included Sir Paul McCartney, Queen, and AC/DC, but the most touching performance was by Talor Hawkins’ son, Shane, who was only 16 and played the drums in tribute to his dad.
Grohl remarked at the concert, “All of these incredible people came here tonight for one reason: to commemorate the life of Taylor Hawkins.” Hawkins passed away in Bogotá, Colombia, the city where the band was set to play. Though a toxicology study indicated multiple narcotics in his system, the BBC stated that no official cause of death was given. The cause of his death has not been officially determined.

Effects of Hawkins on Rock Music
Hawkins was raised in Laguna Beach, California, though he was born in Fort Worth, Texas. At the tender age of ten, he decided he wanted to pursue drumming as a career.
Since its inception in 1997, the band’s drummer has been a constant member. As a result of Hawkins’ contributions, the band achieved such success as receiving 12 Grammy Awards and having four songs at the top of the Billboard charts. The band was officially admitted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2021.
With “infectious hooks, in-your-face guitar riffs, monster percussion, and endless energy,” Foo Fighters “carry the torch of rock authenticity,” the group declared. In a 2007 interview on Fresh Air, Grohl referred to Hawkins as his “best friend.” Do you also want to know where to watch Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert?
He explained their friendship, “We’re close personally, and then there’s also this love and understanding of rhythm and drums.” “When we’re making tunes, you know, I could request something or try to lead in a way, but for the most part, the guy doesn’t need me to tell him what to do because he’s a fantastic drummer.”
