Another success for Mike Flanagan, who made Horror Midnight Mass and The Haunting of Bly Manor and The Haunting of Hill House (both of which you can watch on Netflix if you’re brave enough), as well as Horror Midnight Mass. There were seven tense episodes in which the residents of Crockett Island were chased, beaten, and killed. If you’ve seen them, you’ll be wondering what happened to the few people who made it through. He and his team could go back and finish the story. The second season of Midnight Mass is here.
Midnight Mass Season 2 Renewed Or Canceled?
No one knows for sure if Netflix will make more episodes of the horror. It’s currently called a limited series, so there’s a chance it will only be one and done. Most of the time, we’d bet on renewal if the show’s ratings were strong enough. But Flanagan has already signed a multi-year TV deal with the streamer that includes future projects like The Midnight Club and Something is Killing the Children.
This isn’t the only thing Flanagan is working on. Last month, it was announced that he’s working on an adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s famous short story, The Fall of the House of Usher, which first came out in 1839. “I’m so excited about this series… it’s like nothing else we’ve ever done,” He tweeted when the project was announced, and he did it again soon after.
The short story has already been made into a movie five times, including Roger Corman’s House of Usher from 1960 and two different silent films made in 1928. I think Mike Flanagan would like this book. It’s scary gothic fiction that talks about madness, isolation, and family, so it’s right up his alley. The story is about a narrator who goes to the Usher house to see his friend Roderick Usher, who lives there with his sick sister Madeline. This happens when Madeline dies and Roderick puts her in the family tomb inside the house. Then things start to get very scary. And that’s all the information we’re going to give because it’s likely that Flanagan will give the story a new twist.
The way Midnight Mass came to an end, as well as the way the show was put together, doesn’t make us very surprised that it’s only going to be on for a short time. Even if they say yes, we don’t think it will be back until the very end of 2022, or maybe even longer. In season one, only two characters seemed to be alive, because of how many people died and how much damage had been done.

Midnight Mass Season 2 Cast
There was a rowboat on the water where Leeza Scarborough (Annarah Cymone) and Warren Flynn (Igby Rigney) took refuge while Crockett Island was engulfed in flames and its people were pulverized into dust when the sun came up. This means that they are the only two who could logically return. We also don’t know if the angel was able to get away from the sunrise after it was spotted flying west. There is a chance the creature could return to the island, or find a new place to eat on the mainland (which is a scary thought). Even if someone else found another angel, they could start a lot of trouble on Earth. We know that Flanagan likes to bring back old friends for new projects, like Kate Siegel and Rahul Kohli. There’s a good chance we’ll see them again but in new roles. Expect some new faces, too.
Midnight Mass Season 2 Plotline
Your guess is as good as ours right now. It’s possible to keep going if the angel in question wasn’t burned to a crisp. But we wouldn’t be surprised if Flanagan came back to this story. Instead, we’d expect a completely new story like The Haunting of Hill House’s follow-up, Bly Manor, which could have the same themes and questions about religion if it has the same title. While the series conclusion of “Midnight Mass” left some unanswered concerns, it doesn’t appear that there’s enough left uncovered to warrant a second season of the popular show. We were introduced to various complex characters over the current season of “Midnight Mass,” some mysteries were (mostly) solved, and most of the inhabitants had a clear resolution. Because the series was only approved for seven episodes, the authors knew they only had a limited amount of time to tell the tale, which they achieved brilliantly.
As previously stated, Leeza and Warren are the only two survivors from Crockett Island, therefore a second season — if it ever happens — would most likely follow their life after the events of the first season. They could either strive to fight the Angel once and for all, or they might try to move on with their lives after witnessing so much horror. In any case, those two are the most likely candidates for a second season of “Midnight Mass.”
Midnight Mass Season 2 Trailer
When the release date is less than a month away, trailers are frequently released. Unfortunately, there is no information on the Season 2 release date, hence there is no trailer for it. However, you may view the first trailer for Midnight Mass below. In any case, we anticipate a very familiar teaser for the second season.
