EA releases the first Dead Space remake trailer, and it looks good. Electronic Arts and the company making the remake, Motive, have released a trailer for the game’s gameplay. The footage looks great, but don’t expect to see long, continuous stretches of gameplay.
This trailer never stays on a single shot for more than a few seconds, so fans will have to wait a little longer to get a better idea of what the game looks like when it’s being played.
The remake of Dead Space uses EA’s Frostbite engine and has been “rebuilt from the ground up.” It will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, but not on PS4 or Xbox One. Players can look forwards to new visuals, “improved” audio, and more story elements to fill out the story.

A space engineer named Isaac Clarke sets off on what he believes will be a normal assignment aboard the USG Ishimura. The plot of Dead Space follows the events that unfold beyond this point for those who are just getting caught up. To make matters worse for Clarke, his love Nicole has gone missing, and the ship has been taken over by dangerous aliens called Necromorphs.
EA stated that Dead Space’s remade version would contain a “peeling” system. This system will allow Necromorphs to have “layered flesh, tendons, and bones that snap, tear, and shatter in terrifying new ways.”
In addition, the game features a mechanic known as the Intensity Director, which allows the player to alter the variety of Necromorphs that come to attack Isaac and the frequency and severity of their assaults. Isaac now has a voice in the Dead Space remake, provided by Gunner Wright, who offered Isaac’s voice in the Dead Space sequel and the Dead Space third installment.
Concerning the vessel itself, the USG Ishimura possesses a more significant number of rooms, pathways, and challenges. Last but not least, the Dead Space reboot does away with load screens entirely. Players will never see a loading screen or a camera cut, beginning with the first time they start the game and continuing until the credits are at the game’s conclusion.
On January 27, 2023, a new version of Dead Space will be released for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and personal computers.
In addition to the development of the Dead Space remake, Motive is working on a new Iron Man video game. This game is the first of several Marvel video games that EA is developing in collaboration with the comic book publisher.
