In the days leading up to the big game, the streaming service promoted the Halftime performer’s “This is Rihanna” playlist, which is a megamix of her most popular songs. This got people excited and brought in more listeners.
According to the statistics collected from streaming services in the United States between the time of her Halftime performance on February 12 and February 5, her total streams on Spotify experienced an increase of more than 640%. (6-7 p.m. ET). The first song on the set, “Bitch Better Have My Money,” which was released in 2015, saw its listenership climb by more than 2,600%.

Several other songs from Rihanna’s career-defining set also saw significant increases in streaming activity. These include “Diamonds,” which saw an increase in streaming activity of more than 1,400%; “Rude Boy,” which saw an increase in streaming activity of more than 1,170%; and “We Found Love,” which saw an increase in streaming activity of more than 1,160%.
Naturally, game day was also Rihanna’s biggest day on Apple Music and Shazam. This was the case for both services. According to Apple, Rihanna’s concurrent listeners on Apple Music worldwide increased by an astounding 331%, and the hour after her performance at the Halftime Show was Rihanna’s personal best in terms of concurrent listeners and streams.
The song recognition software Shazam reported that the minute and a half beginning at 8:31 p.m. Eastern Time was the most popular minute of the program and the most popular minute in the United States since the show in 2022 that featured Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, and Mary J. Blige. In addition to this, they mentioned that the song “We Found Love (with Calvin Harris)” was the one that was looked up the most after the performance.
