A man in New York said that he was not angry with the unvaccinated but that they thought they were idiots.
People in New York City began to share their thoughts on President Joe Biden’s new mandate on the COVID-19 vaccination process, which requires companies with more than 100 workers to get vaccinated or get tested for the virus weekly.
A reporter for Fox News Digital in Manhattan was responsible for conducting the interviews with people in the city. In the process, it was noted that the population’s opinions were divided because of the announcement.
Almost 70% of the city’s residents have already been vaccinated with at least one dose against COVID-19. More than 60% are fully vaccinated.
One woman said: “I agree with the mandate. To get back to normal, we need a vaccine mandate, and I think to keep other people safe, it’s really important to get vaccinated.”
One man exclaimed: “It is against everyone’s will.”
This mandate affects millions of workers and imposes substantial fines of up to $ 14,000 as a violation against companies that refuse to comply with the law.

There was one man who even claimed that President Biden’s terms fell short, adding that: “A nation is responsible for vaccinating people because people who are not vaccinated pose a public risk and a threat to all other people.”
He later said, “I’m not mad at the unvaccinated. I just think they are idiots,” he commented, referring to the president’s September 9 speech, in which he seemed quite angry about the matter.
Additionally, he added that unvaccinated people should be compelled to do so and expressed his approval of enacting stricter mandates.
On the other hand, another man disagreed with the president’s mandate, saying the rule should only apply to companies that receive federal funds.
Also, one woman felt that Biden’s requirement for businesses of 100 or more employees was a good idea due to the “influx” of COVID cases. She said, “You have to follow the law, I guess.”
New York City sees its municipal-level vaccination mandates almost coincide with Biden’s announcement at the federal level.
In July, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said that he required all city employees to be vaccinated or screened for COVID-19 once a week by September 13.
Some restaurants and businesses began enforcing the vaccination ID verification in August, and the number is steadily increasing.
