Every year, the Oscars are held on Sunday, and for the third time, Jimmy Kimmel will be the host. If you are desperate enough to watch the first Oscar event after the slap, you still have to deal with one of the most embarrassing hosts money can buy.
In 2017, CNN called Kimmel “America’s conscience” and said, “Kimmel has never sought the mantle of political activism.” This is a strange thing to say. (Please keep reading when you stop laughing.)
A few months later, when ABC was promoting the 2018 Oscars, Kimmel was on “Good Morning America” to talk about it. When asked about his political comments, he didn’t say he was sorry. Instead, he said, “I don’t think you can go too far.” Kimmel definitely has a mean, anti-conservative way of thinking. With that in mind, here are five of Kimmel’s most embarrassing moments, which show that yes, you can go too far.
Kimmel and R. Kelly
Kimmel has treated women in an odd way ever since he was on “The Man Show.” Young women jumping up and down on trampolines was one of the main parts of that show. People called the women “the Juggies.”
Fast forward to December 4, 2013. Kimmel did a very friendly interview with singer R. Kelly, who had been accused of sex crimes for more than a decade. Kimmel didn’t talk about any of that, including the singer’s first marriage to Aaliyah Haughton, who was only 15 at the time. It’s not a mistake. Fifteen.
Kelly then talked about how he came up with the name “Black Panties” for his most recent album. Kimmel then said, “There is so much I could learn from you.” One might ask, “What?” and “Do we want to know?”
Kelly is serving a 30-year sentence for sexually abusing young fans. He was found guilty of this in 2021. He was also found guilty of three counts of child pornography and three counts of child enticement.

Laughing at those who died from COVID-19
Kimmel hates right-wingers. No, that doesn’t say enough. Maybe a better word is “hates.” In September 2021, when the pandemic was at its worst, he made fun of those who died from the virus.
He said it-
“In short, don’t go outside if your state has more GEDs than PhDs. Since the beginning of summer, 54,000 Americans have died from COVID, and almost 20% of them died in Florida. God, look at all those stray ferrets. It’s too bad”
Kimmel didn’t tell his audience that the virus was especially bad for older people, but he forgot to do so. He didn’t bother to tell people that Florida has an older population, which helps explain why so many people died. Instead, he chose to make fun of them.
Kimmel made fun of African Americans
With Kimmel and racial issues, it’s hard to know where to start. He has put on a Black face, said the “N-word” more than once, and tried to act like a Black comedian. Most people would get cancelled or slapped if they did any of these things at the Oscars.
But Kimmel is a well-known leftist who attacks the right on his show. It’s always his golden ticket out of trouble as a famous person. In 2020, he couldn’t run for office because of the Blackface scandal. But the “N-word” is almost always thought of as a four-letter word with six letters. Even in comics.
In a 1996 Christmas album, he did it by sounding like the rapper Snoop Dogg. Kimmel used the “N-word” several times in that song. The Oscars might have done better with a different “N-word.” No.
Kimmel makes gay jokes about his enemies
Kimmel doesn’t just have an enemies list. He has a list of people he doesn’t like who he says are gay. He made fun of Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-SC, by saying that Herschel Walker, a Republican running for the Senate, was getting to him. You can probably guess what he said because it’s pretty bad. In another segment, he said, “Trump’s Attorney General, William Barr, used to bend over backwards when the president asked him to.”
Not the worst thing. He made fun of then-Missouri Republican Rep. Vicky Hartzler for being brave enough to vote against the gay marriage bill. He showed a short video clip of her and then said: “So, that woman isn’t a lesbian, right? I mean, what she says with her mouth might be “unhinged bigot,” but her hairstyle says, “Meet my partner, Bev.”
Imagine for a second if that joke had been made about a liberal congresswoman by a conservative. After their affair was made public, T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach left “GMA3” faster than anyone else.
One more trip to Florida
Kimmel’s job, like that of a lot of people in traditional news and entertainment media, is to attack possible Republican presidential candidates and anyone who might support them. Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida, is a big worry for the press.
“In America’s North Korea, the Sunshine State, we like to take a look at what’s going on every now and then, and tonight we’re doing it again with a Gov. DeSantis edition of ‘This Week in Florida.'”
North Korea is a totalitarian, backward country with poor technology. Florida, which was free, made economic and technological progress. People go there in droves because of it. Jimmy, that’s a great analogy. Even so, by choosing Kimmel again, Hollywood has gone from “Oscars so white” to “Oscars so wut?”
