The name “Nebula” is well-known outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) thanks to the phenomenal work done by Karen Gillan in the films “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Avengers.” Changes were made to the majority of the characters in the movie so that they might be presented in a more straightforward manner and made available to the audience. Nebula is an example of this type of character given that her appearance, personality, and relationships with other characters in the comics are vastly different from what we have witnessed on the big screen.

Gillan might be an incredible Nebula, but she doesn’t really have much in common with the version that we’ve seen in Marvel Comics. As a result of this, there are a lot of misconceptions about who Nebula is, what kind of a villain she might be, and how she’s impacted the many attempts to seize control of the cosmic cosmos shown in Marvel Comics. The following is a list of the numerous characteristics of Nebula from the comics that the most of people probably aren’t aware of.

Captain Marvel Was One Of The First People She Fought, Not Carol Danvers

In the comics, Nebula first appears on a spaceship with Captain Marvel, but it’s not the same one seen in the MCU. Carol Danvers’s role as Captain Marvel is fairly new in the books. Instead, Nebula meets Monica Rambeau, who is the second person in Marvel Comics to take on a heroic role.

Rambeau meets Nebula while she is acting like she has lost her powers. Nebula shoots a laser blast at Rambeau right away. Captain Marvel changes into light, which makes the strike harmless. She ends up joining Nebula’s crew to get back home, but she and Nebula still fight a lot.

The History Of Her Family Is Unknown

Nebula has asserted numerous times throughout her run in the comics that she is related to a vast number of characters, but she has never shown any proof to back up her claims. She asserts that she is Thanos’ grandchild, despite the fact that she is a native of the planet Luphom and not Titan. She also asserts that she is the daughter of Zorr, who is one of the few individuals of her species that has survived.

It is possible that some of what she claims is accurate given that there has been no information regarding her mother over the years.

She And Gamora Are Only Sisters On The Silver Screen

In the comics, Nebula asserts that she is Thanos’ grandchild; nevertheless, she is in no way, shape, or form Gamora’s sibling, despite the fact that she makes this claim. This is a significant departure from the films, as one of the most essential features of both Gamora and her adopted sister Nebula is their bond with one another. Nebula was adopted by Gamora.

In the books, not only are the two individuals not connected to one another, but for the most majority of their respective histories, they have had very little to no interaction with one another. They have gone decades without even being aware that the other person exists. The chance encounter between the two cinematic sisters does not come about until the crossover event known as Annihilation: Ronan. During the course of the event, they come together for a short period of time but then go their own ways.

She Is A Refugee From A Planet That Galactus Wiped Out

Gamora is initially presented in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Thanos’s adoptive daughter; however, there hasn’t been a lot of information provided about who she truly is or where she originates from. To our good fortune, the comics include a great deal more information. Because she is from the planet Luphom, which makes her a member of the Luphomoid race, you would be mistaken if you assumed she was a Kree because of her blue complexion. Her origins lie on the planet Luphom, which makes her a Luphomoid.

As a result of Galactus, the World Devourer, there is absolutely no possibility that any resident of the Marvel Universe will ever have the opportunity to travel to Luphom. He discovered the planet and devoured it, which means he was responsible for the extinction of every living thing on the globe. Those Luphomoids who were not on Earth during the time that Galactus consumed them were the only ones who survived in the Marvel Universe.
