The first Brazilian artist to win a Video Music Award sang “Evolver,” the Best Latin song from her 2022 album Versions of Me.

Bad Bunny
To perform “Titi Me Pregunto,” from his album Un Verano Sin Ti, El Conejo Malo was beamed in from the Bronx, where he was playing his second sold-out event at Yankee Stadium. After his performance, he was also given the Artist of the Year award.

Blackpink
The K-Pop royalty, including Best K-Pop winner Lisa, made their first appearance at a U.S. awards presentation by performing “Pink Venom,” the lead single from their upcoming album Born Pink. They also won Best Metaverse Performance for their in-game concert in the video game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.

Conan Gray
The Rodrigo buddy performed two songs from his most recent album, Superache, on the Doritos-sponsored Extended Play Stage.
Dove Cameron
For the pre-show, Disney alum Dove Cameron delivered a medley of her singles “Boyfriend” and “Breakfast,” channelling Madonna and sporting a set of shoulder pads worthy of the gridiron; she was later given the Best New Artist award by former winner Avril Lavigne.

When accepting his award for Song of Summer, co-host Harlow confessed that Fergie’s “Glamorous”—which he sampled for his winning single “First Class”—had a huge influence on him as an artist. Ex-Black Eyed Pea Fergie joined him onstage for a medley performance of the two songs.
