Douglas Craig Emhoff is an American lawyer and the second gentleman of the United States. He was born on October 13, 1964.

He is married to Kamala Harris, who is the 49th vice president of the United States. Emhoff is the first second gentleman in American history because he is the husband of the first vice president. He is also the first Jewish vice president’s spouse.

Emhoff’s first job was as a lawyer for the entertainment business. He was in charge of Venable’s offices on the West Coast and later became a partner at DLA Piper. He is also a well-known professor who teaches at Georgetown University Law Center.

Emhoff was married to Kerstin Emhoff, whose maiden name was Mackin, for 16 years. Cole and Ella are their two kids. He married Kamala Harris on August 22, 2014 in Santa Barbara, California.

Maya Harris, Kamala’s sister, was the person in charge of the ceremony. As of August 2019, Emhoff and Harris were worth about $5.8 million, according to estimates.
