Fans Beliefs That Wednesday Addams Is Gay, Is It True?

The audience is taken back to the world of the “Addams Family,” a large franchise that was initially based on the works of American cartoonist Charles Addams. “Wednesday” may be viewed on Netflix. After some time had gone by and the characters had been portrayed in different forms of media, they became more developed, with some characteristics being removed while others were included. This practice is carried forward in the Netflix series, even though the show largely centers on just one member of the family: Wednesday (Jenna Ortega).

Enid Sinclair, played by Emma Myers, is a student at Nevermore Academy, a boarding school for students with exceptional abilities. When Wednesday first starts attending school, she meets Enid Sinclair, and they quickly realize how drastically different they are from one another.

Their initial animosity quickly fades away, and they grow to become close friends with one another. Even more, it would appear that there are hints that point to something else. If what you read has caused you to ponder whether Wednesday is gay or bisexual, then the following is our opinion on the matter: SPOILERS AHEAD.

Is Wednesday Addams gay?

Wednesday’s sexuality has never been said outright, but most people think she is part of the LGBTQ community.

Does Wednesday Like Girls?

In Charles Addams’ original cartoons, the characters are satirical versions of what a perfect wealthy American family of the 20th century should look like. Even the fact that they like scary things doesn’t seem out of place.

The Netflix show “Wednesday” takes place in the 21st century, when people have different expectations and ways of thinking. Even before the show came out, the ads for it made fans wonder if Wednesday would have a relationship with someone of the same gender. So, there was a lot of disappointment after the first episode of season 1 because the character didn’t have a clear Sapphic romance.

Even so, the way Wednesday and Enid act toward each other could be seen as a subtle start to a relationship, as if the show’s creators are testing the waters. Enid is almost the opposite of Wednesday. She is like sunshine and rainbows compared to Wednesday’s black-and-white personality.

She is bubbly and sweet, while Wednesday tends to be sad. At first, their very hostile relationship is a reflection of how different they are. But as the show goes on, these two young women become closer, and Wednesday learns that there are people who care about her.

Enid’s character has some traits that make it seem like she might be gay. For example, her inability to “wolf out” or change into a werewolf at first can be seen as a metaphor for how hard it is for her to accept her sexuality. Then there’s the fact that her mother tries to send her to a place where werewolves can be turned into humans.

In the show, Wednesday and Enid both seem to like at least one of the two men who are interested in them. For Wednesday, it’s Tyler, but it turns out that he is the monster who has been killing people. As for Enid, it’s Ajax, the gorgon who is awkward but cute.

But that doesn’t mean that things will stay the same in the seasons to come. Wednesday is a well-known character who has been a part of pop culture for decades. Even if we think of the Netflix show as just an interpretation, people tend to have strong feelings about these things, so the creators probably thought it would be best to see how viewers react to the subtle before it gets too obvious.

Fans have said that Netflix is trying to get gay people to watch their show because they held an event called “Wednesday” a few weeks before the show came out. Now, we can look at this with cynicism and see that it was just a way to sell something, which is exactly what it was. But that doesn’t mean the network can’t also use it to talk about one of the show’s main ideas.

In an interview with Elite Daily, Myers talked about how fans wanted her character and Wednesday to get together. “You know what I always say,” Myers said, “and they lived together.” “Jenna and I used to say that to each other all the time. And that’s all that needs to be said. I think that gets the point across.”

The word “roommate” is a reference to a popular meme about mistaking same-sex relationships for friendships or roommate relationships. Like the fans, it’s clear that the actors think there’s something there. It will be interesting to see if this is talked about in later seasons.
