We are excited to bring this important music experience to consumers across all touchpoints, and Paramount is ideally positioned to do so thanks to our diverse platform slate and the global strength of our brands.
A number of famous musicians, including the Foo Fighters themselves, as well as Travis Barker, Stewart Copeland, Liam Gallagher, Violet Grohl, Justin, and Shane Hawkins, Josh Homme, Chrissie Hynde, John Paul Jones, Kesha, Geddy Lee, Brian May, Krist Novoselic, Nile Rodgers, Mark Ronson, Supergrass, Lars Ulrich, and Wolfgang Van Halen, will perform at the concert. Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock will also make guest appearances during the event.
Paramount’s president of music, music talent, programming, and events and Paramount+’s chief content officer, music, Bruce Gillmer, said, “Taylor was not just a brilliant drummer and musician but also one of the most devoted super fans of music the world has seen.
His extensive corpus of work will ensure that his vibrant spirit and exceptional talent will not be forgotten. We’re excited to work with the Foo Fighters and the Hawkins family to put on a tribute concert for fans all across the world, using Paramount’s global reach to reflect Taylor’s global influence.
The Hawkins family has designated that proceeds from the concert’s ticket sales and product sales go to the organization’s Music Support and MusiCares. Joel Gallen will be in charge of directing the concert, and Emer Patten will be in charge of producing it for EP-PIC Films & Creative. The Kia Forum in Los Angeles will host a second tribute performance for Hawkins on September 27.
