The police have stated that they did not identify any potential danger to the general population.
Rob Dotson, the city manager of Enoch, stated that the community was rocked by the news of the eight bodies and that the deceased, who were all members of the same family, were well known in the hamlet of Enoch, which is located in southern Utah.

Dotson also mentioned that the community was planning to release more information as the investigation continued.

Dotson stated that when people are not seen for extended periods, it is standard procedure for the authorities to do welfare checks based on calls to the police department like the one that led them to the residence where the remains were located.
