Here’s what we know so far about Bofuri’s second season. This includes the release date for Season 2, the trailer, and other news. The Cast, Plot Summary, And Upcoming Premiere Of Bofuri Season 2

Maple, everyone’s favorite shield-wielder (sorry, Shield Hero Naofumi), is back, along with her game-breaking antics, for a second season that will start in January 2023. BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, So I’ll Max Out’s second season was at first set to air in 2022. As Kadokawa said on September 20, 2022, My Defense will be part of a very busy January 2023 window.

The teaser PV and visuals show that after another successful campaign in NewWorld Online, defense goddess Maple and her Maple Tree Guild will soon be off to new adventures. Will Maple’s silly, overpowered luck keep giving the people who work on NewWorld headaches? Her many fans, both in the online game and outside of it, can only be excited about that.

BOFURI Anime Season 2 Release Date

Even though Kadokawa and Silver Link haven’t said for sure when the second season of Bofuri will air, a start date of January 4 would be a good guess.

Season 1 came out on January 8, 2020, which was the first Wednesday that wasn’t a holiday. Silver Link can do the same thing for season 2, which will come out on January 4, 2023. Boveri was supposed to come out in the fall of 2022. But it wasn’t clear that the second season was put off until 2023 until the announcement on September 20.

After Silver Link didn’t say anything until September, it was thought that a delay or, even worse, a cancellation was likely. Fans should now be at ease because Silver Link gave them a teaser PV and a teaser visual, which put an end to rumors that the anime was going to end. The official website for the anime even posted news about the second season right after the news about the first season’s rebroadcast.

BOFURI Anime Season 2 Trailer

The teaser PV that can be viewed above is without a doubt among the most significant pieces of information that Bofuri fans have obtained in recent weeks. The supporters’ weary hearts were finally put at ease when they saw Maple go once more on her journeys.

According to what was posted on the anime website, this teaser PV provided a peek at the characters from Bofuri’s New World as they embarked on a significant journey on a new planet. During the film, members of the elite guilds Maple Tree, Kingdom of the Flame Emperor, and Congregation of the Holy Swords were featured prominently.

This was supported by a teaser graphic that was released on October 6, 2022, and it notably displayed members of the Maple Tree guild riding atop Syrup and flying towards somewhere. Members of the other two guilds could be seen following in their footsteps.

BOFURI Anime Story and Season 2 Expectations

IS SHE THE ULTIMATE BOSS OF THE GAME?! The character Maple, who was developed by VRMMO newcomer Kaede Honjou, is encapsulated in its whole by the first sentence in the description of the first book of the Bofuri light novel series published by Yen Press. And Maple is the result of a world in which plot armor can be worn physically.

At the urging of her best friend, Sally, Kaede eventually gives the innovative virtual reality game NewWorld Online a shot when she decides to play it one day. Sally is a professional gamer, the kind of player who dominates competitions and takes home trophies. Kaede is left to fend for herself when, unhappily, her mother forbids her from playing for a few days.

Kaede continues to develop her character, which she eventually decides to call Maple. Out of concern for her safety, she makes the shield Maple’s primary weapon. Any person who is passionate about role-playing games usually thinks about where to put their stats and how to weigh them according to their job classes and other factors. Kaede makes a point to steer clear of it and instead invests all of her stat points in VIT to improve her defense. She perseveres until she develops a skin that is tougher than the walls of the town.

Maple transforms into a mobile fortress, although the slowest one, and acquires top-grade weapons as a result of Kaede’s exceptional defense and some fortunate circumstances (not the stat one). Her rationale in the real world is completely illogical while she’s playing the game, but for some reason, Maple always comes out on top and racks up big upgrades as she bumbles her way to the top.

Sally joins them in the game later, and the two of them work together to make new friends and develop the Maple Tree guild, which eventually becomes one of the most powerful in New World Online.

After the first season of Bofuri, Maple Tree pulls off an incredible upset victory over the Congregation of the Holy Swords. After being hacked to pieces by Payne of the Holy Swords, Maple comes dangerously close to passing out. Maple, however, is still alive despite having only one health point left, and she can turn the tide of the battle.

Maple can assume the appearance of a colossal demon thanks to the ability of Atrocity, which comes equipped with her Black Rose Armor. In addition to that, it features OP piled atop OP. Maple leads her Holy Swords guild to a third-place finish by claiming victory over the other members of the guild.

The upcoming second season should build upon this win, with Maple Tree feeling invigorated and preparing for another adventure. Fans should expect another series of fights and encounters that will boost Maple and her team while also making the NewWorld devs cry because the teaser PV and visuals hint at a significant journey.

Season 1 ran from January to March 2020, and a second season was announced at the end of the last episode. Season 2 of Bofuri was supposed to start in 2022, but for unknown reasons, it won’t start until January 2023.

When the delay was announced in September 2022, fans were quickly reassured by a teaser PV. On October 6, 2022, a visual teaser was also made public. Then, on November 10, 2022, Kadokawa announced the opening and closing theme songs, as well as the artists, for the next season.

“Kono Tate ni, Kakuremasu” will be sung by Junko no Afilia, a group of women who sing. “Step for Joy,” the ending theme, will be played by a group called FRAM. On February 28 and January 25, the full versions of these songs will be released.
