Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion Season 2: What Is It About?
When a strange luchador in a mask selects Violet, she becomes Ultra Violet. Violet wants to be renowned, so she sets out to join forces with Black Scorpion, the city’s most famous vigilante.
Cruz de la Vega, a luchador wrestle coach who goes by the superhero name “Black Scorpion,” will be played by J.R. Villarreal (“Akeela the Bee”) in a new live-action comedy series on Disney Channel. Violet Rodriguez, a Latinx teen, is chosen by a mystical luchador to become a superhero like her uncle, Black Scorpion. Scarlett Estevez plays Violet Rodriguez in “BUNK’D.”
As Violet’s mother Nina, Juan Alfonso plays Juan Carlos, and Brandon Rossel plays Santiago, Marianna Burelli is Violet. Violet’s best friend Maya Miller-Martinez is portrayed by Zelia Ankrum in the movie. Violet’s classmate Luis Leon is Bryan Blanco.
“Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion” executive producers and showrunners are Eric Garcia and Leo Chu. Executive producers Joe Nusbaum and Dan Hernandez will also work on the show.
Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion Season 2 Premise
Violet, a 13-year-old girl, is chosen by a magical luchador mask to become Ultra, the superhero heir to her uncle, Cruz de la Vega, and a superhero in disguise. Along with adjusting to the ups and downs of middle school, Ultra begins her covert superhero training with her uncle. Ultra’s current Gen-Z approach to crime-fighting teaches Uncle Cruz a thing or two.

J.R. Villarreal As Cruz de la Vega
He currently stars in the Disney Channel’s live-action action-adventure series Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion, as Cruz de la Vega, or “Black Scorpion.” Cruz may be the proprietor of a wrestling gym to his friends and neighbors, but to criminals, he is the dreaded Black Scorpion.
